This amazing office set includes as pictured, the briefcase, waste paper basket, desk blotter, pencil cup, set of bookends, letter opener, and business card holder. There are over 400 individual pieces of silver represented here. Each piece is all hand-carved and edge braided, or laced, in kangaroo leather, accenting the leather carving and silver beautifully. The braiding (or lacing) gives a beautiful textured edge and a really luxurious feel. Every attention to detail has been addressed.

We, at Seidel’s Saddlery, chose to pair our painstaking construction, design, and beautiful hand carving talents with the silverwork of that of the Bohlin Company. We chose Bohlin to work with when it came to the silver, because, historically, the best quality and most renowned silver mounted saddles were made by Bohlin. The original dies that Ed Bohlin himself created were used to make the silver for this office set. The Indian head design was said to have been inspired by Bohlin’s personal friend, Chief Red Wolf. It must have been one of Bohlin’s favorites, because he fashioned many parts on his personal saddle, “The Big Saddle” that sits in the Autry National Center in California, after the Indian head design. Still today, the Indian head design is considered to be one of the truly signature icons of the Bohlin Company.

The back of the Waste Paper Basket looks just like the front, so it is two-sided. This piece is the “shining star” of the set, in our opinion. The INSIDE of the waste paper basket is tooled as well, and is left a natural oiled cognac color to contrast with the beautiful outside. It measures 17" tall, 15" wide and 10" deep approximately.

The Briefcase is fully tooled, including the 3-compartment gusset, fully leather lined, and features an outside back pocket. It also comes with a removeable shoulder strap. The measurements are 18" wide, 14" tall + handle, and 4" deep.

The Desk Blotter has a nice shape to it, slightly rounded at the top, straight at the bottom, with the top being wider than the bottom. It features smooth leather in the middle, and tooled sections on 3 sides with the sterling conchos, and has a place at the top center, for your sterling silver initial (‘S’ shown). It measures 36" wide at the top, and 24" top to bottom.

The Pencil Cup is constructed seamlessly with no side seam—a pretty tricky process, and is 2 sided, like the waste paper basket. The inside is carved as well and colored a cognac color for accent. The measurements of the pencil cup are 5 3/4" tall, and is more oval in shape.

The Indian head Bookends are engraved on the back, and weighted nicely for function, and are 6" tall, 5" wide, and 3" deep. The Letter opener is also engraved on the back as well, and is 11" long and 2 ½" wide. The Business Card Holder is normal sized, and you can see the size based on the standard sized business card displayed.
