Schaezlein
Robert Schaezlein came to San Francisco from Germany in the 1870’s and made society badges and other silver items. Although an earthquake nearly wiped them out in 1906 they salvaged all the equipment they could and are still using the surviving dies today. Schaezlein made silver saddles and harness trimming for companies known for high quality including Visalia, Bona Allen, and Hamley just to name a few. Now three generations later, Rob Schaezlein uses the same care and precision in his fabulous buckles today.

Schaezlein's embossed rope edges (kick rope edges) are so nicely done! This is probably out favorite buckle that Schaezlein sells. The floral overlays and shield for initials are solid 14k yellow gold. A nice option for a 2-tone buckle; nice price too. Fits a one inch belt.

The 1" Regular Schaezlein buckle set is a classic traditional style of buckle, solid sterling, full backed, engraved and antiqued. Very rich looking---looks more expensive than it is. The buckle is not as domed as much as those of other makers. Buckle fits a one inch belt.

The embossed rope edge (or kick rope edge) of this buckle is so nice, and we show this in a 3 piece set, but also looks great in a 4 piece set as well. Again, as with all of Schaezlein buckles, sterling silver, hand engraved, and fully backed. Buckle fits a 3/4 inch belt, and would work really well with a ranger style of belt.
